The Super Fishing Vacation
Angling Direct Holidays Compilation DVD Part 1
If you love fishing and you're looking for an incredible get away, why not look into a fishing vacation. Think spending a few days on an area lake dropping a hook into the water doesn't sound that exciting? Then think bigger.
One of the great things about the Internet is that it's brought people, cultures, ideas and possibilities together. That's never truer than when you're searching for an incredible vacation spot. Just consider what you might do on your fishing vacation.
Sea fishing is a popular sport, even with those people who live hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean. That's why you need to book early if you're planning to spend your vacation seaside and want to wet a hook while you're there. Guides are available at almost every vacation destination, and at many places that offer little aside from fishing trips.
You're more than likely going to plan a fishing vacation that includes a series of day trips, but don't overlook an adventure that will take you onto the water for the duration. You'll find there are many fishing vacations that will allow you to spend a week (or more) exploring the full range of fishing opportunities available in a particular area. For example, you may want to spend a week making your way up a river, taking time to fish tributaries along the way. Especially if you're headed to a foreign land from your own home, this may be the chance you're looking for to combine your love of fishing and your desire to learn about another culture.
If you have some in your vacation parties who aren’t avid fishermen, take time to consider what else is available in an area before you book. Though most vacation spots offer many activities in addition to fishing, you may find little that will interest those who aren't anxious to put a hook in the water. If some members of the vacation party are bored, their disappointment and boredom will rub off on the entire party.
Not only do you need to take care of those who don't want to fish at all, you should have alternate plans for the fishermen in case of inclement weather. If you plan to fish even if it rains or the weather turns extremely cold or hot, be sure your guide will be up for it. If the weather cancels your fishing expeditions, you'll need something to do other than hanging out in your motel room wishing you could go fishing.
